All DOCG wines produced by Ciodet employ the official Valdobbiadene DOCG bottle. It has on the neck the elongated V that has become a distinctive trait of the territory and at the bottom the whole caption, in italics: Valdobbiadene.
It is the bottle designed and made by Confraternita di Valdobbiadene, an association founded in 1946 in San Pietro di Barbozza and inspired by French Brotherhoods. Born in the hard post-war conditions in order to help farmers not to quit viticulture on the hills above the plain, throughout the years it has been capable of following the evolution of Prosecco becoming a true landmark for quality and authenticity in the production of Valdobbiadene, of which it is certainly the moral warrantor.
The Confraternita releases annually to the local industries that request is and that produce at least 51% of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg the authorization in order to use the bottle.
It is the container that guarantees the territorial origin of the product.
Today it is made up by wine specialists and members of the winemaking world. Among these a primary role is played by Enrico Bortolomiol.
The Confraternita di Valdobbiadene carries on lively its popularization work: it communicates the history, the tradition and the landscape of Valdobbiadene. It transmits the commitment, the passion and the love for these areas.
At the same time it is an important support for producers and it is committed in scientific research projects with winemaking themes thanks to the collaboration with important Institutions and Universities.
